We Lost Sweet Sable on 10/31/10 due to Gastric Torsion.

Sable had been diagnosed with Megasophagus earlier in the year during her first torsion episode.  She received a gastropexy at that time.

Sable was a rescue that turned out to be John's very first show dog.

We will miss her terribly and so will all of her friends...

Shasta - We Rescued Her and Gave Her a Few Months of a Good Life...

Shasta had pancreatic insufficiency, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and several other medical conditions that impaired her ability to have a happy life.  We let her go to the Rainbow Bridge instead of suffer further indignities...

Sunny...So Loved and So Missed...(12/99 - 8/03)

Sunny died of complications from severe digestional issues. She torsioned at the age of 17 months, and her spleen torsioned later, after a gastropexy.  She continued to bloat after recovery and bloated 12 times in one week while at the specialty hospital.     Two of those bloat episodes occurred while she was under anesthesia.  She was never bred.  Several of Sunny's siblings also bloated or died at young ages.

 Of Course, we have lost many more beloved dogs than we can list on this page, (especially since we have been so involved in rescue), but the above dogs held very special places in our hearts...and were the most recent...mostly...
