The Pinball Wizard Found a Forever Home!
9 Month Old Blind/Deaf Male Puppy Great Dane - Very Sweet
Wizard's Story...
This baby was a result of an accidental harlequin breeding which resulted in a litter of 9 puppies. The owner of the litter discovered that baby Wizard was blind and deaf when he was 6 weeks old. A rescue organization offered to take him and find a forever home for him. The organization showed up at the litter owner's doorstep when Wizard was 6 months old and gave him back to her, telling her that they were never able to place him. She was devastated as she had believed that he had been placed in a forever home the entire time. The litter owner was not able to take care of Wizard and she took him to the kill shelter. The shelter gave Wizard 3 days to live.
A kind shelter volunteer called Neet Rescue and asked if we could please save this sweet puppy. She said he was withering away and scared and would be euthanized in 3 days. We said "Yes"....
Introducing... The Pinball Wizard puppy!

Really??? A Pool Table is your Favorite Spot?
Beautiful Kita Has Found Her Forever Home!
1 Year Old, Female Merle (Spayed)
Kita's Story...
Kita lived in a Sorority House near a college campus. When the college girls graduated...Kita didn't...she was left behind...until a new family took her in. When it was discovered that she had a fear of the man of the house, the family did not wish to keep her anymore.
Kita is a very lovely girl with a spirited attitude and a very friendly nature. She is not a large girl and she fits in tight spaces. She looks like a kitty when she curls up on her bed. Kita loves other dogs and children. She is afraid of men right now and we are working to rehabilitate her. Not sure what happened to this little girl when she was in college...

Moxie Found A Forever Home!
I am a 2-year old, spayed female. I am very sweet & love people.
Thank You Rene at Indian Dane for finding a forever home for Moxie!
We represent the Western Region for the GDCA for Dane Rescue Activities. We Have rescued hundreds of Danes in the past several years. We save them from the shelters, we accept relinquishments, we foster/adopt, and try our best to right the wrongs of irresponsible breeders. We can never really fix what they have done; however, we do our best to save these innocent, sweet Great Danes. We find appropriate adoptive homes and place them. We have a few properties to support the numbers of dogs that we rescue because we support all our rescue, foster, medical and adoption activities with our own funds. We comply with all legal requirements and have no issues with animal control.
We do not charge any money to people that adopt rescues from us.
If we did, then that would be "selling" the dogs.
Adopt/Don't shop means that the adopters are not paying for the dogs.
If the adopter is paying, then, they ARE shopping and the dog IS being sold.
Paying for a rescue, whether it is to the shelter or to a rescue organization means that you are shopping for a dog and you are choosing a poorly bred dog from an irresponsible breeder that does not care about the dogs they breed and will not accept them back when an owner chooses to dump them. Please understand that when you do this, that you need to be prepared for potential health issus and behavioral issues and poor conformation which can cause other potential health issues. Also, please understand that many rescue Danes were spayed/neutered at too young of an age and that can also cause potential health issues. So, you are choosing to save a life, but, it is not the same as getting a well-bred Great Dane from a responsible breeder.
We do not support mandatory spay/neuter ordinances. However, we usually do spay and neuter rescued dogs before they are placed in forever homes.

I Found A Forever Home!Thank You Gabrielle for Adopting Me and Giving Me a Great Life!
I cannot thank you enough for what you have given us. Our memory cards on our phones and cameras are both overloaded and everyday has become such a fun new adventure. I'm head over heels for him, what an amazing dog (my dad tried to take him home with him, and my boss - who does not like dogs - got on the floor any played with him for about 45 minutes). He has brought so much joy into our lives. I have never enjoyed picking up poop more in my life!
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Jackie
